Vivid account of the great earthquake and fire in San Francisco which struck on April 18, 1906. The letter was printed because "so many of my friends have asked me for my personal experiences... so concluded to write it out, as a friend had generously offered to have it printed out for me..." Signed in ink at end, perhaps Rosie Emmons. A vivid account of the massive quake and devastating conflagration, including her bicycle pilgrimage to Golden Gate Park, "On the handle bar was a clock, two bottles of port wine, a satchel filled with important papers, a cane and umbrella, and two novels. On my back was strung two stew pans and a frying pan..." We could find no copies listed in OCLC.
Condition Report: Old fold, as few short edge tears; very good.
