Four alabaster shields, probably Westphalian, first half 17th century
The backs flattened, faint remnants of older polychromy. High relief coats-of-arms crowned with helmets and flanked by curling foliate scrolls. Two of the shields are inscribed to the banderoles below "Westphael" and "Moninckhausen", one has an unfinished inscription beginning "W", the fourth shield is not inscribed.
Very minor wear and losses. Each ca. 21 x 17 x 4.5 cm.
