Vorgang" und datiert "1906 [korrekt eigentlich: 1900]" wobei die "6" offenbar durch unkorrekte Restaurierung der ursprünglichen "0" entstand, rückseitig diverse Annotationen auf dem Keilrahmen und zwei Etiketten der "Großen Berliner Kunst-Ausstellung 1900", hier teils handschriftliche Angaben zum Künstler und Werktitel "Paul Vorgang - Berlin NW, Siegmundshof 11e ... »Am Wasser«", im Jahre 1900 war Paul Vorgang mit einer umfangreichen Sonderausstellung von 47 Werken auf der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung vertreten, laut Katalognummer "1358 »Am Wasser«" wurde vorliegendes Gemälde auf dieser Ausstellung mit gezeigt (vgl. Katalog der Großen Berliner Kunst-Ausstellung 1900, Seite 78), Craquelure, alt restauriert, original in ca. 5 cm breiter Leiste (rest.bed.) gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 100 x 156 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Landschaftsmaler (1860 Berlin bis 1927 Berlin), studierte an der Akademie Berlin, hier Meisterschüler bei Eugen Bracht, unternahm Studienreisen nach Norddeutschland und Bayern, ab 1886 Hilfslehrer und ab 1896 Professor an der Berliner Akademie, beschickte ab 1883 die Berliner Akademieausstellung und ab 1893 die Große Berliner Kunstausstellung, 1900 Große Sonderausstellung von Werken Paul Vorgangs auf der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung, Mitglied im Verein Berliner Künstler und in der Allgemeinen Deutschen Kunstgenossenschaft, 1924 Aufgabe der Malerei, tätig in Berlin-Charlottenburg, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Bénézit, Müller-Singer, Jansa, Kataloge der Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung, Dressler, Boetticher und Wikipedia.
