A duplicate prescription form for medicinal liquor, issued under the authority of the National Prohibition Act, 1p, 5.5" x 4.5", listing the liquor as "Spiritus Frumenti," or "spirit of grain" in Latin, which was the official medical term for whiskey. Prescription number E28436 is dated February 7, 1929. The lower section is signed and completed by the dispenser, who filled the order the following day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Verso bears instructions noting that, "This Prescription is invalid after 3 days following date of issuance..." Flattened central vertical fold. Perforated at left edge with two punch holes for filing. In fine condition.
