Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - To Lenin's Anniversary Our Victories in Space - featuring a dynamic illustration of an orange satellite marked in white text on the side reading Soyuz-5 and Soyuz-4 in space orbiting the earth against the deep blue background with a text box below listing the names of four cosmonauts: Vladimir Shatalov (b 1927), Boris Volynov (b 1934), Aleksei Yeliseyev (b 1934) and Yevgeny Khrunov (1933-2000). Launched on 14 January 1969, Soyuz 4 under the command of the cosmonaut Vladimir Shatalov was sent on a mission to dock with Soyuz 5 under the command of the cosmonaut Boris Volynov to transfer the two crew members (Aleksei Yeliseyev and Yevgeny Khrunov) then return to Earth; this mission marked the first successful time two manned spacecraft docked together before a connecting tunnel for the docking mechanism was developed, so the transferring cosmonauts had to spacewalk between the two spacecraft.
