Propaganda Poster Zimbabwe Rhodesia Liberation War ZANU ZANLA. Original vintage political propaganda poster titled No More Baas Boys, produced by the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) during the final stages of the Zimbabwean Liberation War (Second Chimurenga), featuring a photomontage composition that targets the short-lived, unrecognised government of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia. The background features a large official group photograph showing the Prime Minister, Bishop Abel Muzorewa, sitting flanked by rows of white military officers during a parade in Salisbury in March 1979. White stylised lettering features satirical caricatures of key political figures drawn into the letters, including the former Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith inside the letter 'A', South African Prime Minister P.W. Botha inside the letter 'B', and Muzorewa himself peering out from the letter 'O'. Horizontal. The poster was circulated by anti-apartheid and solidarity groups (such as the British Anti-Apartheid Movement and the Komitee Zuidelijk Afrika in Amsterdam) to criticize the March 1979 internal settlement elections in Rhodesia. Opponents viewed the interim government led by Muzorewa as a facade that preserved white minority and South African ("baas" or master) power rather than achieving genuine majority rule. Very good condition, minor creasing, minor staining, small tears. Country of issue: Zimbabwe, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 43x61, year of printing: 1970s.
