Property from an Important Private Collection An Ottoman calligraphic panel (ijaza') awarded to 'Ali Rida, Ottoman Turkey, dated 1266AH/1849-50AD, Arabic manuscript on paper, the first line in black naskh above 3ll. of smaller naskh within clouds against a gold ground with floral illumination, below a cartouche with 3 ll., laid down on pink paper, mounted, glazed and framed, image 24 x 23.5cm. Note: A Qur'an signed 'Ali Rida and dated 1269AH/1852-3AD was sold at Christie's London 7 October 2011, Lot 85.
Overall very good with slight creasing , small loss to gold of border to bottom
