Property from an Important Private Collection An unidentified treatise, Central Asia, 15th century, Persian manuscript on paper, 34 leaves, 13ll. to the page, written in black naskh within 2 columns, ruled in black, yellow and blue, titles and important words in red, f.1b with a gold and polychrome heading, one replacement leaf, incomplete, in a later brown leather binding with a gilt central panel decorated with a bucolic scene, Text panel 11.5 by 6.3cm.; folio 16.5 by 10.5cm.
Condition report: In fair condition, the margins have been cropped, minor stains and smudges, several notes and stamps mainly at the beginning, minor losses and repainting to the illumination, the later Qajar binding with minor damages, as viewed.
