Cup with two handles and dome lid with vertical grip.
Maiolica with two blue and yellow shades, decorated lid and inside of the late "Raffaello" cup. Inside the cup is a female figure covered only with a veil or cloak over her shoulders. Her right hand raised., indicates the sky. She is sitting on a wave in the sea, while flocks of birds fly to the sides. It could allude to the allegory of life. The complex but elegant shape of the lid and the handles, which are similar to a soup cup, but with different decoration. From a private collection, assigned to Deruta 17th century, the center which also leads to the type of Raphael, present in seventeenth-century maiolicas in the Museum of Ceramics in Deruta.
