Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London, made of Sir Joseph Widworth’s fluid-pressed steel.” Flat-bodied hammers engraved with foliage and floral motifs, signed J. Purdey & Sons. With cocking indicator. Breech plate engraved “Patent” with safety. 37 cm marbled walnut stock, partially checkered, with a gold-plated plate engraved “P.J.D.”
