Purple star sapphire, star sapphire and diamond ring, 1930s

Set with an oval cabochon purple star sapphire and star sapphire, to an openwork mount set with baguette and single-cut diamonds, size L.

Condition Report:
Unsigned. The purple star sapphire weighs approximately 4.05 carats and measures approximately 8.8 x 7.6 x 8.3mm, the star sapphire weighs approximately 3.90 carats and measures approximately 8.5 x 7.2 x 8.7mm. The stars in both are somewhat diffused. Upon close inspection abrasions can be seen on the surface of the sapphires, small area of black colour visible to the reverse of the light greyish blue star sapphire. Small areas of gold solder repair are also visible. Evidence that the band has been re-sized. Overall in good condition. Total gross weight approximately 8.6g.
