Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Yellow Ground Glazed Lotus Porcelain Celestial Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in celestial bottle shape, thick and tall, globular lower body, cylindrical long neck, round mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow base color which contrast against blue color depicted of lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
