Chinese Qing Dynasty DaoGuang Sky Blue Glazed Porcelain Pomegranate Water Pot. Potted unto small vessel water pot shape, globular abdomen, round shoulder gently tapered on short neck, toward opening mouth prominent with flori form lip, raised on ring round foot base. Warm and uniform sky blue glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Blue is the most important variety of China?s porcelain. Blue stands for healing, trust and long life. Shades of blue are used to decorate homes for longevity and harmony.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a three under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made in The Years DaoGuang Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
