Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Porcelain Lidded Jar On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted with a large cylindrical straight vessel, short neck, flaring round mouth lip with official hat dome lid finial bud, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of flying phoenix through flowers bloom interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The Phoenix Feng-Huang represents exquisiteness, goodness, warmth, prosperity, peace, the Sun, abundant harvests, and reason in government. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
