The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd bottle vase conjoined in upper and belly, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, round opening lip, raised on round foot base and slightly concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in alum red base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of flying Fu bats over lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. The word bat Fu, in Chinese sounds identical to the word for luck which is a pair of homophones implied linguistic symbolism the symbolic meaning of bat is commonly recognized as good fortune in Chinese culture and meaning the five blessings, is a concept that signify a grouping of certain good fortunes and luck in Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
