Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Douqing Glaze Porcelain Water Pot. Potted in wash pot shape, drum body, thick potted, deep curvature and slight tall, round opening lip, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform green celadon glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China?s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
