Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Douqing Glazed Melon Ribbed Vase. The porcelain potted in baluster shape vase, large, thick and tall, melon ribbed, heavy on mid, cylindrical neck, raised on ring foot base with slight concave. All reserved in pale-turquoise- pale green celadon under glazed ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
