Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Blue and White Underglaze Red Porcelain Sky Ball Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in celestial sky ball vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, cylindrical, close mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered all in clean white against blue and red color, depicted of lotus flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. Lotus is one of the most significant flowers in the Chinese culture. It symbolizes the holy seat of Buddha. Because the flower rises from the mud and blooms in exquisite beauty it symbolizes perfection and purity of both the heart and mind.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of YongZheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
