Field with complex multicolor panles and geometrical floral designs on golden black color background; multiple borders with traditional Safavid Dynasty cartouches with floral palmettes serpentine motifs on multicolor background; fringe at both ends. Persian, ca. 1960's

Fine silk pile full and even throughout, retaining a strong natural sheen; drawing crisp and colors fresh, with no low or bare areas, holes or moth damage observed. Fringes long, full and clean at both ends; selvedges intact and secure. Reverse shows a very fine, regular weave with no repairs, patching or reweaving. No staining, fading or water marks noted. Lies flat and square.
