Comes with a serigraph print in a separate portfolio that fits into the slipcase alongside the book. Book, portfolio and print are as-new; slipcase is very fine with a bit of light soil; outer cardboard box has some marks, soiling, and crushed corners. Limited Edition: No. AP 161 of 200 Artist's Proof copies. Book and serigraph are signed by Crumb. Provenance: Said to have been an R. Crumb gift copy."I obtained the book from Crumb himself who had gifted it to a friend of his. They both came into my antique and book shop in Ashland Oregon. His friend lives in Ashland and she did not want to own the book (I think it embarrassed her) so I did a trade for the book. Crumb initially came into my shop with an early piece of Crumb ephemera to have it framed which I took on as a project. I told him that I too collected Crumb material and he then told me that he was R. Crumb. He had been coming into my shop for many years but had never identified himself and I hadn't recognized him. On a post it note he wrote: 'Crumb at Carol Vinson's,' and her phone number. He gave this to me to call him when his piece was framed and ready to pick up. Carol was a girl friend who Crumb visited every year. They both came in to pick up the framed piece and she brought in Sex Obsessions to trade. I kept the post-it note Crumb gave me and that is my provenance. Probably not the strongest provenance but that and my story is what I have." – Consignor's statement.______________________________________________________________
