Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler was a disciple of Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Tartzes of Tapolcany and of Rabbi Yitzchak Ahron Landsberg of Grosswardein. Rabbi of Meze-Teglad (1874), Brezova (1885) and Mad (1901). Considered the greatest Hungarian rabbinical authority of his day, head of a large Yeshiva and greatly revered for his outstanding character traits and saintliness. Reported to have merited Gilui Eliyahu. Author of Levushei Mordechai (7 vols.).

Rabbi Mozes Chaim Lietsch-Rosenbaum born in Pressburg to a distinguished rabbinic family, disciple of the Shevet Sofer as well as of his father Rabbi Gershon, Rabbi Shaul Ehrenfeld of Szikszo and Rabbi Elazar Low of Ujhely. Son-in-law of Rabbi Pinchas Chaim Klein of Nagyszolos. Rabbi of Simleu (1888) and Kleinwardein (1897). Author of Lechem Rav and Livyas Chein.
