RABBI MOSHE FEINSTEIN (1855-1986) – MANUSCRIPT APPROBATION (HASKAMAH), This letter is an approbation written to Pri Yitzchak, by Rabbi Yitzchak Rudnik, Rabbi of Cannon Street Road Synagogue in London and Dayan of the Federation of Synagogues.

‘It is difficult for me to write an approbation, as due to being very busy I am unable to study the subjects discussed in sufficient depth to reach a halachic conclusion. Giving actual halachic decisions requires a deep study and not merely a superficial one.’

Rabbi Moshe Feinstein, son of Rabbi David Feinstein of Uzda, and grandson of Rabbi Yitzchak Yechiel Davidovitz of Karelitz. Disciple of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer of Slutzk and of Rabbi Pesach Pruskin of Shklov. Rabbi of Uzda and Liuban in Russia, before immigrating to America in 1937, where he served as Rosh Yeshiva of Tiferes Yerushalayim and President of the Agudas Harabanim and of Ezras Torah. Rabbi Moshe Feinstein was recognised as foremost halachic authority in America and around the world, who wrote thousands of halachic responsa, including many dealing with problems resulting from contemporary medical and technological advances. Author of Igros Moshe, Dibros Moshe and Darash Moshe.
