RABBI PINCHAS CHAIM TAUB (1867-1936), REBBE OF ROZDOL, A THREE-PAGE LETTER INCLUDING NEW YEAR GREETINGS AND KABALISTIC NOVELLA, ADDRESSED TO RABBI SHLOMO ZALMAN EHRENREICH, RABBI OF SOMLYO .

Rabbi Pinchas Chaim Taub of Rozdol, son of Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi (II) of Rozdol (descendant of Rabbi Yitzchak Eisek – the Rebbe of Kalov) and son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Chaim of Linsk (II). Studied under his maternal grandfather Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi of Komarna. In 1886 he succeeded his father as Rabbi of Rozdol, where he remained until WWI. He escaped the battlefront of Eastern Galicia and settled in Margereten, Hungary and remained there for eight years - returning to Rozdol in 1923. Rabbi Pinchas Chaim was greatly revered for his Torah knowledge, particularly in Kabalah, and was held in high esteem by the chassidic leaders of his time. Most of his writings remained in manuscript.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, grandson of Kol Aryeh, Rabbi of Csaba (1894) and Somlyo (1899). Author of Lechem Shlomo and some 30 other manuscript works; prominent Hungarian rabbinic leader.
