RABBI SHIMON GRUNFELD (1882-1930) – RABBI OF SZENHIMIHALY, KNOWN AS ‘MAHARSHAG’ HALACHIC RESPONSUM ADRESSED TO RABBI YAAKOV TZVI KATZ OF SZOBOSZLO. HANDWRITTEN SIGNED RESPONSUM.

This interesting responsum, dated 1929, addresses the permissibility of installing a boiler in a Synagogue to provide heating (which had been forbidden by Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch of Bonyhad).
