New Year’s greetings from the revered Rebbe of Brezhan – Rabbi Avraham Zarach Aryeh Yehuda Leibish Halpern, and from his son Rabbi Ahron of Brezhan. Letters of the Rebbe of Brezhan are very scarce.

Rabbi Avraham Zarach Aryeh Yehuda Leibish Halpern of Brezhan (Brzezany, Galicia), son of Rabbi Meshulam Feivish and son-in-law of Rabbi Yoel of Shotz. Rebbe in Brezhan in succession to his ancestors. During WWI he escaped from the battlefront in Eastern Galicia to Prague, and then settled in Lvov. Author of Imrei Yehuda.
