RABBI YITZCHAK PACIFICI, RABBI OF VENICE (1698-1746) AND AUTHOR OF APPROBATION TO OR HACHAIM – RARE 4-PAGE RESPONSUM.

Rabbi Yitzchak Pacifici, Chief Rabbi of Venice and leading Italian Rabbi, consulted in all Torah issues of his day and frequently quoted in contemporary rabbinic literature, especially with regard to the Venice Eiruv. Published notes as well as a poem, appearing in the Machzor Hadras Kodesh printed in Venice. Authored Shaalos Uteshuvos Mishpat Shalom – five volumes, but these have remained in manuscript.

This long 4-page responsum is apparently the only known extant manuscript written by this famous Italian Rabbi.
