RABBI YITZCHAK TZVI LEBOWITZ, RABBI OF CSAP, HALACHIC LETTER TO HIS FATHER-IN-LAW, RABBI SHLOMO ZALMAN EHRENREICH , RABBI OF SOMLYO. HANDWRITTEN SIGNED LETTER.

Letter dated 1912 regarding the halachic status of the Mikva in Somlyo. The letter concludes with affectionate good wishes to the Rabbi of Somlyo and regards from his family.

Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi Lebowitz (ca. 1875-1944), son of Rabbi Moshe Yehuda – Rabbi of Szenta, and son-in-law of (I) Rabbi Yeshaya Ehrenfeld of Surany and (II) Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Somlyo. Rabbi of Csap (ca. 1913). Author of Shulchan Ha’ezer, a monumental work on the laws of shiduchim and marriage.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich (1863-1944), grandson and disciple of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Schwartz – author of Kol Aryeh, Rabbi of Szikso (1888), Csaba (1892) and Somlyo (1899) where he headed a large Yeshiva and was greatly respected. Author of Lechem Shlomo and 30 unpublished manuscripts - lost after his murder in the Holocaust.
