RAF interest: Uniforms and associated items belonging to Flight Lieutenant Charles 'Chick' Kirkham, to include a fragment of fabric from de Havilland Mosquito TA 634, a cold weather flying jacket, two dress jackets, a pair of aviation shorts, a navigational protractor, maps etc.
Kirkham served in the RAF form 1942 to 1982, retiring from active service in 1976. His career highlights include flying the de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito as part of the 81 squadron, including the TA 634 now housed in the de Havilland Aircraft Museum, working on the British war films 'Purple Plain' and '633 Squadron', and working as a Harrier simulator instructor at RAF Wildenrath whilst serving as a retired officer from 1976 to 1982.
