RARA COPPIA DI SEDUTE DA MEDITAZIONE TIBETANE, 1900

E' importante sapere che queste due tappeti sono nati per essere usati come sedute singole, non sono parte di una passatoia formata da riquadri ripetuti, che spesso venivano tagliate e rivendute separatamente. Il rarissimo decoro 'tigma' croce/simbolo porta buona fortuna e favorisce il benessere, lo si ritrova generalmente nella tessitura tecnica 'Tie Dye del Ladakh'.
Vecchi restauri nel riquadro verde scuro per entrambi i pezzi. Ricordano un pezzo pubblicato su: Geometric Pattern Carpet, early 20th century Tibet, collection of Robert and Lois Baylis, in Patterns of Life: The Art of Tibetan Carpets at the Rubin Museum of Art, New York.
