Splendid necklace from the late 18th - early 19th century of Renaissance inspiration composed of alternating 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold openwork pearls probably filled with black nielle and fine round to semi-baroque pearls with a white-grey and white-yellow orient. Diameter of the pearls from 5.45 to 7.50 mm. The eighteen pearls are certified natural.
The pendant consists of three parts.
The upper part, integrated into the chain, is enamelled with translucent green and red, opaque white and blue on the front and back.
The middle consists of a table-cut diamond as encountered between the late 15th and 18th centuries in a closed 18th century setting.
The lower register gives way to an ancient Colombian emerald in the shape of a mixed-cut pear (with star facets) of about 6 ct. Flush frost. It is surrounded by a scrolled shape enamelled in black, white, red and green with touches on the face. On the back it is the black which dominates crossed by red.
