wood block with carvings
32 x 22 cm (12 5/8 x 8 5/8 in.)

PROVENANCE
Acquired in Harbin by the great-granduncle of the present owner, 1930s
Thence by descent in the family to a Private Collection in New York

CONDITION
Observed in frame, the woodblock is float-mounted. With endemic cracking and fissures. Losses to the left edge, upper and lower corners. With visible red paint on verso. All apparent in photographs.
framed dimensions: 46 x 36 cm (18 1/8 x 14 1/8 in.)
