RARE EARLY BRONZE AGE TRANS-JORDAN BASALT VESSEL
Ca. 3000 BC. A conical-shaped bowl with rounded rim, standing on a tripod of three legs, established with a mid-section connecting them to the bowl. Each leg, with a bulbous shaped lug. possibly ritual. Size: L:100mm / W:147mm ; 1.25kg Provenance: Property of a London doctor; formerly with a London ancient art gallery; previosly in the Derek Content collection; acquired from Richard Trescott in the 1980s.
