In the publisher's orange cloth binding with black lettering, dark blue stained top edge, 5 1/2" x 8 1/4", 286 pages. Head and heel of spine bumped, sunned edge to front board, one scuff at author's name, contents near fine. Hurston (1891-1960), was the most influential African-American author of her generation. This is her most famous book, TIME included the novel in its 2005 list of the 100 best English-language novels published since 1923.
