A rare shaped Japanese Kyo-Sukashi iron openwork tsuba, (sword guard) edo period. Mounted on yellow felt with frame. Signed on the right side of the center opening. The tsuba itself measures 2-9/16" x 2-15/16" tall and 3/16" thick. Condition: good, patina to iron, some soiling to fabric backing, see images. Total weight: 7.1 oz.
