Description: a rare "Mingqis" funeral procession in green glazed Chinese clay It includes four porters and a palanquin. China, Ming Dynasty, 15th-16th century production. Condition: Excavated objects in very good condition, some chips in the glaze, especially on the sides of a porter and the roof ornament of the palanquin replaced by a glass ball, not restored. Measurements: Height of the porters: 20 cm and 19 cm Height of the palanquin: 17 cm Width of the palanquin: 12 cm Origin: acquired in 1998 from an English collection (Joshua & Betty G.) of antique Chinese ceramics near Wilmslow (Manchester district) .
