Sabalites poweliil (palm) with Pharoedus encaustus and Notogoneus osculus (fish) (165 x 120 x 4 cm), Eocene (53-33 million years ago). A very finely preserved specimen.
The full inflorescence of the palm tree, surrounded naturally by fossilized fish, including Pharoedus encaustus and Notogoneus osculus. The arrangement has occurred naturally, with no manipulations or restorations. A very aesthetically pleasing mural plaque, which perfectly demonstrates the subtropical climate of the region during the Eocene. The Green River Formation in the United States is internationally known for being the source of the most beautiful fossils in the world.
