The tall case with typical openwork scroll handle over four finials above spirally twisted columns to a shaped plinth base, with bevelled glass panels throughout, the circular signed white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with running seconds at XII over three subsidiaries for day, alarm and date within a finely engraved foliate mask, the movement with partially skeletonised plates and outside clicks, the going train with silvered lever platform escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, striking the hours and quarters on a pair of bells, with grande sonnerie/petite sonnerie selection lever to the backplate and engraved number to the base, the repeat button passing through the top glass. Together with an associated travelling case and key. 19cms high.
