RARE POPOV RUSSIAN PORCELAIN KREMLIN SERVICE C. 1850. Comprising a porcelain cup and saucer from the Kremlin Service made by the Popov Factory, circa 1838-1860. The exterior of the cup and the border of the saucer with a band of stylized palmettes in blue and black on a gilt cisele ground, the interior base of the cup and the cavetto of the saucer with a medallion of red, green and black flower heads, the underside with the Popov Manufactory's blue monogram style mark, No 2 in iron red, and the impressed numbers 6 and 21. Height of cup: 2.75 inches (6.7 cm). Diameter of saucer 5.1 inches (13 cm).
