RARE: Pampas Grass, Patrinia, Chinese Bellflower and a Crane - Attributed to Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) - Japan - Edo Period (1600-1868)
Hiroshige made several kacho-ga prints featuring a crane and pampas grass. Possibly this print was part of a larger harimaze print, or it was simply made in the standalone tanzaku format. Dimensions are 11,2x33,5cm.
Though it is unsealed and unsigned, for the print on sale, we find a sealed copy in the collection of the Minneapolis Museum collection:
