RARE SIGNED PHOTO TSAR NICHOLAS II & PRINCE GEORGE OF GREECE 1893. Comprising a vintage platinum print depicting the Tsarevich Nicholas Alexandrovich with his cousin Prince George of Greece. Each signed by sitter beneath image in English Nicholas and further (Nicky) and Georgie, also date 1893. The mount with impressed mark of court photographer Emil Hohlenberg (1841-1901). The image 5.75 inches 4 inches (14.5 x 10 cm), overall including mount 9.5 inches x 7 inches 924 x 18 cm. Contained in likely the original mahogany glazed framed with fold out strut stand on verso.

Prince George of Greece and Denmark (1869-1957) was the second son and child of George I of Greece and Olga Konstantinovna of Russia, and is remembered chiefly for having once saved the life of his cousin the future Emperor of Russia, Nicholas II in 1891 during their visit to Japan together.
