RARE SWISS SIG PE57 PRE BAN SEMI AUTOMATIC RIFLE

SERIAL NUMBER: PE3054. BARREL: 24". CALIBER: 7.5X55 SWISS. The SIG PE57 is the rare, semi-automatic civilian variant of the Swiss military's iconic Stgw 57(Sturmgewehr 57) battle rifle. Produced by Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG), it features an iconic roller-delayed blowback system, heavy steel construction, and is chambered in the potent 7.5x55mm Swiss cartridge. The PE in PE57 stands for Privat Einzelfeuer (Private Single Fire). Often described as a heavy, rugged "space gun," the PE57 borrows design elements from both the MG-42 and FG-42 machine guns. It features an in-line stock layout to minimize muzzle climb, a built-in folding bipod, and an oversized "beer keg" charging handle Incorporates the traditional, beer-keg-shaped cocking handle famously seen on the Swiss K31. Because of its weight and full-power cartridge, it excels as a highly accurate, long-range fixed-position rifle. It also features carry handle that balances the rifle was incorporated. The Stgw57 used a three-position selector marked S (Safe), E (Semi-Auto), and M (Full-Auto). An integral muzzle brake reportedly cuts recoil by about 25%, a folding winter trigger to allow firing while wearing mittens or gloves, tall-folding aperture iron sights (rear sight was calibrated for adjustments between 100 and 640 meters.), integral dovetail receiver designed for specific quick-detach telescopic optics. Comes with (1) 20 round magazine, (1) 6 round magazine, leather sling, black nylon sling and PE57 scope mount. In factory shipping foam container. CONDITION: As New. MODERN
