REINHARD HEYDRICH DINNER PLATE
Description:
REINHARD HEYDRICH DINNER PLATE
An extraordinary relic, a dinner plate once owned and used by REINHARD HEYDRICH (1904-1942), the architect of the Final Solution who was slain in a bomb attack by British-trained Czech and Slovak agents. The 10.75 in. dia. plate bears a 1.75 in. very ornate gilt filigree band with Greek key edge about the rim, and Heydrich's initials 'R H' appear at center, reminiscent of lightning bolts and SS runes. The bottom of the plate bears the name and trademark: 'TIRSCHENREUTH BAVARIA'. The plate is in untouched condition. A chilling relic!
