OLD MAN WITH BEARD, FUR CAP, AND VELVET CLOAK (B., HOLL. 262; NEW HOLL. 92; H. 92)

Etching and engraving, circa 1631, a good impression of New Hollstein's second state (of three), with touches of wear in the densely hatched areas, on paper with an Arms of Ravensburg watermark (cf Hinterding A.b), unframed
plate: 149 by 130mm 4⅞ by 5⅛in
sheet: 153 by 135mm 6 by 5¼in

Condition Report:
With narrow margins, in good condition apart from two repaired areas in the unprinted area at upper corners, a minute rust mark towards the lower edge, a faint stain in the lower margin and a few further pale stains verso, unframed.
