Biörklund's ninth state (of 9); Usticke's third state (of 7); White and Boon's ninth state (of 9), after the third and final reduction of the plate; New Hollstein's ninth state (of 9). A superb, dark and richly-inked impression of this extremely scarce etching, with very strong contrasts and no sign of wear, with crisp, partially inky plate edges, consistent with the earliest impressions of this subject.We have found fewer than 20 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years.
