MALE NUDE, SEATED AND STANDING ('HET ROLWAGENTJE') (BARTSCH, HOLLSTEIN 194; NEW HOLLSTEIN 233; HIND 222)

Etching, circa 1646, New Hollstein's first state (of eight), printing with plate tone, on paper with a partial Name of Jesus watermark (cf. Hinterding IHS-A), unframed
Plate: 195 by 127mm 7⅝ by 5in
Sheet: 203 by 135mm 7⅞ by 5⅜in

Condition Report:
With small margins, in good condition, with small, unobtrusive areas of faint water-staining just visible along the upper right plate mark and at upper right corner recto, a small paper adhesion in the blank area right of the infant's head and near centre verso, two tiny, inconspicuous thinned spots in the upper left quadrant, unframed.

(Slipped printing is inherent to production).
