René Vincent was an illustrator whose artworks - especially posters - were solidly rooted in Art Deco fashion and design. He illustrated for French magazines such as La Vie Parisienne and L'Illustration and then for American publications like the Saturday Evening Post and Harper's Bazaar. His commercial commissions upon his return to France are some of his most iconic - for companies like Bugatti, Peugeot, Michelin, Shell and Porto Ramos Pinto.
