A Republican period polychrome stem bowl set comprising a stem bowl with accompanying bowl and cover flushed into stem bowl, stem bowl carved with a pair of gilded anminal head hooks on each side, handpainted with landscape scenery and inscribed '囱终无事滔童渡, 居日册沽呼远赊', foot inscribed with character like motifs. Accompanying bowl handpainted with gilded rim, bowl cover with similar landscape topped with a gilded lion knob. Stem bowl set would be used to steamboat or steam food.
