Cal. 45-70. S# 97468 (1908). The 30" number 4 weight tapered full octagon barrel has Winchester markings on top flat; caliber marking at rear. Rear sight dovetail is plugged. Front dovetail holds reproduction windage adjustable 69B sight. Thick wall model 1885 action has been fitted with coil spring hammer, reproduction set trigger and Vernier type mid range tang sight. "S" type lever and breech block are color hardened. Nicely matched new stocks are made from fine fiddle figured American walnut. Butt is fitted with reproduction Winchester plate; schnabeled forend has contrasting wood tip. CONDITION: very fine as custom finished retaining nearly all blue on metal and oil wood finish with only a few scattered minor marks. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling throughout.
