Original green cloth binding, cover and spine with black lettering. Good condition. Her debut novel and one of the best fictional accounts of the War. It was the first time in history that a lady wrote a work about the 1st World War. Edges of the leaves with foxing. Covers and text block renewed. The spine has a real label from the private library of the Kings of Italy pasted on.

Reliure d’origine en toile verte, plats et dos avec lettres noires. Bon état. Son premier roman et l’un des meilleurs récits fictionnels de la Guerre. Ce fut la première fois dans l’histoire qu’une dame écrivait une œuvre sur la 1re Guerre mondiale. Tranches des feuilles avec rousseurs. Plats et corps d’ouvrage refaits. Le dos porte une véritable étiquette de la bibliothèque privée des Rois d’Italie collée dessus.
