Note: A companion piece to a smaller canvas of reversed composition, fine painting depicting a group preparing to set sail to Cythera, the dwelling place of the goddess Venus. Approx. 62" x 68.5" (framed), 54.5" x 60.5" (canvas)
Condition Report: Lined. Old 15" repaired tear in center in cloud with corresponding inpainting along tear and surrounding craquelure. Craquelure inpainted around and in figures and to the right of the boat. 2 " x 1" area of inpainting upper right.
